What I’m reading: “How to do what you love and make good money” by Derek Sivers.
What I’m watching: Stranger Things on Netflix. I don’t know why I keep watching it before bed. It scares me!
What I’m listening to: Neil Patel’s Marketing School podcast. Easy to digest, bite-sized chunks of useful SEO stuff I know nothing about.
A quote I’m pondering on: ”When I let go of what I am, I become what I might be.” — Lao Tzu
“Still life”: a painting or drawing of an arrangement of objects, typically including fruit and flowers and objects contrasting with these in texture, such as bowls and glassware. It’s an interesting description since I find that anything I photograph becomes still. A moment of stillness is captured even if it is of a moving object. A still photograph is life frozen in time.

It was hot summer’s day in Paris. I was walking around in the heat and found a spot to stop and wait in the part shade. I love trees and love leading lines. I needed a person or living thing to be in my frame. I waited and waited. A lot of people came by but it wasn’t the right moment. Then I saw this girl walking towards me and it looked like she was going to cross the path. I looked down at my Hasselblad and waited for the right moment. It must have been almost an hour before I clicked the shutter. I only had one shot. Then I had an ice cream.
