What I’m listening to: The Demonization of Gluten by Freakonomics Radio — This is good!

What I’m watching: Star Trek Discovery on Netflix — Omigosh I didn’t think I’d be hooked on this show. I’m not a Star Trek fan at all but this is really good viewing. We watched 3 episodes in a row and had to stop because my 11 year old son had to go to bed!

A quote I’m pondering on: “You can become successful at something without having much particular talent at it. But you can never become successful at anything without taking action. Ever.” — Mark Manson

What I’m watching: Intermittent Fasting with Jason Fung

A quote I’m pondering on: “Instead of wondering when your next vacation is, maybe you ought to set up a life you don’t need to escape from.” — Seth Godin.

Go see: Thor Ragnarok — This is an enjoyable popcorn movie even though I wasn’t sure whether it needed to be a lot more serious throughout. It did feel like my family and I were the only ones laughing in the cinema.

What I’m reading : 5 Time-Saving Productivity Hacks, Reviewed by Andy Bowen - I particularly love “Replacing to-do lists with a schedule”. Because I do this already. I schedule what I need to do for the day instead of creating a list. I even include times and a deadline for the completion of a task. Yay for me!

What I’m listening to: The Perfect Potato Chip, the Origin of Seltzer, and Why We Eat “Beef” and Not “Cow” by TMSIDK

What I’m watching: Getting stuck in the negatives (and how to get unstuck) by Alison Ledgerwood | TEDxUCDavis

A quote I’m pondering on: When the best leader’s work is done the people say, ‘We did it ourselves.’ — Lao Tzu

Go see: Bladerunner 2049 - An intelligent and artful film. Like the original, this movie is not for everyone. I thoroughly enjoyed it and was constantly lost in the cinematography and the stunning soundtrack. Mind blowing. Impeccably crafted and executed, it holds on to the original but also creates something beautifully new. I have to see it again.
