What I’m reading : Getting to Cleveland: A Gratitude Conversation with Seth Godin — “I think that gratitude is a profound choice. It is not just something that some people do. There is a way to look at life as a “have to” or a “get to” there are all these things in life we could do because we have to do them, or there are things in life we do because we get to do them.” — Seth Godin

What I’m listening to: Cities | Tell Me Something I Don’t Know

What I’m thinking about doing: Moving to a Fujifilm X series camera, in particular the XT-2 or Xpro-2. I’m going to be renting the camera gear over the next few months for some paid jobs before I decide to purchase and commit to the system. It’s an exciting time. I have taken the Xpro-2 at a wedding last year and it was a joy to use. It’s the kind of photographic approach and shooting style that I love. I think I’m getting tired of the “traditional” way of shooting where a lot of the wedding day is controlled. I want to photograph people and capture the day as it unfolds. I’m a documentary photographer at heart.

Go see: A Ghost Story — This is a haunting and unexpected film. Poetic, emotional and almost verging on comical - it’s effing good.

A quote I’m pondering on: Leadership is not about the next election, it’s about the next generation. — Simon Sinek
